E-Plex 5000 Series Now Available With Remote Unlock

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, August 15, 2006

Kaba Access Control is pleased to announce that the E-Plex 5000 Series is now available with remote unlock. The feature is available for the E-Plex 5000, 5200 and 5700 models in both Cylindrical and Mortise. This includes both PIN and PIN/PROX models .

The remote unlock is an ideal application for a receptionist station, or any area where there is a need to keep a door closed and locked, while still granting access as needed. Authorized users always have access, but the remote unlock allows you to control access by visitors, temporary contractors, patients, vendors and others. This eliminates the need to issue temporary access credentials. The unit comes pre-wired for external connection to a remote switch.
