Kaba's E-Plex 5000 Now Available in Mortise
WINSTON-SALEM, NC. December 5, 2005
The E-Plex 5000 Electronic Pushbutton Lock by Kaba Access Control is now available in an American Standard Mortise with 1
¼" faceplate, with and without deadbolt. The unique design of this E-Plex mortise lock enables it to be programmed on
site to operate like various BHMA lock functions, including standard entry lock, storeroom, residence and privacy. In addition
to the mortise version, the E-Plex 5000 is also available in cylindrical and exit trim models.
The E-Plex design utilizes a patented LectroBolt mounting screw. The LectroBolt allows installation without running wires to or
through the door. This eliminates the risk of damage from pinched wires. Installation is quick and easy.
The E-Plex Series combines the strength, simplicity and reliability of our industry leading Simplex locks with the enhanced
security and convenience of electronic access control. 100 access codes allow you to manage access for multiple users. Locks
are programmed with the keypad or with optional Microsoft Excel based software that simplifies management as your number of
users and access points grow. With the software, you can download a 3,000-event audit trail - including use of the key
override.
